NVIDIA CorporationNVIDIA invests up to $3 billion in Lancium, expanding its AI infrastructure footprint.

NVIDIA will spend up to $3 billion in Lancium, a power infrastructure developer behind the Stargate data center project in Abilene, Texas, according to a report from The Information. The deal includes an initial $2 billion for a roughly 20% equity stake, plus an additional $1 billion contingent on Lancium meeting goals such as securing additional grid interconnections. Lancium's 1,000-acre Clean Campus in Abilene is the first operating site of Stargate, the AI infrastructure joint venture formed by SoftBank, OpenAI, and Oracle, which President Donald Trump unveiled in January with partners promising up to $500 billion in AI infrastructure investment. Lancium plans to use NVIDIA's capital to expand operations while considering a potential IPO as early as 2027.
