NYK Line raised its net profit forecast to 240 billion yen from 195 billion yen due to higher container freight rates, firm bulk and energy markets, and yen depreciation.
NYK Line on the 30th revised upward its consolidated net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 to 240 billion yen, from the previous 195 billion yen. Container shipping freight rates have exceeded initial expectations for the period, while market conditions for the bulk shipping business and energy operations such as crude oil tankers have also remained firm. The yen's depreciation against other currencies has also been a factor boosting profits.
