Seven voluntary member countries of OPEC Plus held an online meeting on the 2nd and announced they had agreed to raise the September production target by 188,000 barrels per day. This marks the sixth consecutive month of output increases, with the size of the hike kept at the same level as in June, July, and August following the departure of the United Arab Emirates. Crude oil prices are currently rising again amid renewed exchanges of attacks between the United States and Iran.
