The implants are made from a proprietary blend of natural mineral fibers that provide initial fixation strength comparable to traditional metal implants and are gradually replaced by the patient’s own bone within 18 to 24 months, leaving no hardware behind. This technology reduces the need for secondary hardware removal surgeries typically required with metal implants, addressing unmet pediatric needs and strengthening OrthoPediatrics’ long-term growth potential. OrthoPediatrics currently markets nearly 90 systems across trauma and deformity, scoliosis, and sports medicine, distributing its products in the United States and over 75 countries.
