Palantir Technologies Inc.Maven system nearing $1B run rate, Army contract amendment, and strong government/commercial revenue growth indicate robust demand for Palantir's products.

Palantir Technologies' Maven Smart System is approaching a $1 billion annual revenue run rate and could secure formal program-of-record status in the U.S. defense establishment, according to William Blair analyst Louie DiPalma, who reiterated an Outperform rating on the stock. The Pentagon's involvement is deepening, with the Army awarding Palantir a $795 million contract amendment in May 2025 for Maven software licenses through May 2029. Palantir's second-quarter revenue climbed 93% to $1.935 billion, with U.S. government revenue surging 90% to $809 million and U.S. commercial revenue up 149% to $764 million. The company also signed 220 contracts worth at least $1 million, totaling $3.373 billion in contract value, and raised its full-year sales forecast to around $8.15 billion to $8.158 billion. With GAAP operating income of $912 million in Q2, Palantir is growing rapidly while generating substantial margins, but the rising federal spending on AI software raises questions for taxpayers about the strategic value of these investments.
