Palo Alto Networks IncCEO highlights $1 trillion replacement potential for AI-ready security platforms, driving growth.

Palo Alto Networks Inc. CEO Nikesh Arora warned that about $1 trillion of existing cybersecurity infrastructure, built before the advent of AI, is not ready for the new threat landscape, presenting both a challenge and a growth opportunity for the company. The firm reported fiscal fourth-quarter revenue up 34% to $3.41 billion, with next-generation security annual recurring revenue rising 63% to $9.1 billion. Palo Alto forecasts fiscal 2027 revenue between $14.1 billion and $14.2 billion, an increase of about 23% to 24%, driven by the need for newer security platforms as attackers use more powerful AI tools. The company's next challenge is capturing a share of that estimated $1 trillion replacement potential as corporations rethink security for an AI-driven environment.
