Paramount Skydance has formally proposed concessions to address European Union antitrust concerns regarding its $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. The European Commission disclosed the move in a filing on its website on Wednesday, which gave no details of the offer. The EU authority set a new deadline of July 22 to decide whether to clear the deal or open an in-depth probe. Separately, Warner Bros. Discovery edged lower by 0.6% on Tuesday after a UK official said she is minded to intervene in the deal on public interest grounds, citing concerns over sufficient plurality in news media and control of media enterprises.
