Stellantis NVStellantis recalls over 1 million vehicles due to fire risk from electrical issue

The total number of vehicles under Park Outside recalls in the United States has surged nearly 50% in the past week to more than 3.2 million, according to new data from CARFAX. The increase follows a major safety recall by Stellantis affecting over 1 million vehicles, primarily model-year 2021 to 2025 Jeep Wrangler SUVs and Gladiator pickup trucks, due to a potential fire risk from an electrical connection issue in the power steering pump wiring. CARFAX Vice President of Data Acquisition Faisal Hasan warned that an unrepaired Park Outside recall can threaten garages, homes, and anything parked nearby, and urged owners to check for open recalls and get free repairs. The top three states with the most affected vehicles are Texas with 302,000, California with 300,000, and Florida with 279,000. Stellantis said affected customers will be notified and expects a solution by July.
