Pengxin Resources has disclosed its 2026 half-year performance forecast, expecting attributable net profit of 220 million to 260 million yuan, a sharp year-on-year increase of 55.51% to 83.79%. The core driver is the production ramp-up at the Orkney Gold Mine in South Africa. During the reporting period, gold output reached 823.97 kilograms, up 62% year-on-year, with sales volume of 566.46 kilograms, up 11.4%, and ending inventory of 536.57 kilograms. In the copper smelting business, cathode copper production at the Shituru Copper Mine in the Democratic Republic of the Congo rose 96.8% quarter-on-quarter in the second quarter, and cathode copper sales in the first half totaled 11,169 metric tonnes, up 11.8% year-on-year. In addition, external sales of industrial sulfuric acid reached 93,174 tonnes, up 27.1%. The company also signed a cooperation framework memorandum with MasterDrilling, a global leader in deep shaft drilling, to provide technical support for the long-term expansion of the Orkney Gold Mine, and is advancing a share buyback plan, having already repurchased 1,581,300 shares in the first round, intended for employee stock ownership plans or equity incentives. On the offshore financing front, the issuance of up to 500 million US dollars in bonds by its wholly-owned overseas subsidiary Pengyao International has been reviewed and registered by the National Development and Reform Commission.
