Philippine Airlines committed to order up to 20 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner jets, marking its first Boeing order since 2007. The memorandum of understanding covers 15 firm aircraft plus an option for five more, with deliveries starting in 2031. Financial terms were not disclosed. The order is the largest widebody purchase in the airline's history and will strengthen its medium and long-haul fleet, according to President and Chief Operating Officer Lucio C. Tan III. The 787-10 can carry 300 to 375 passengers up to 13,890 kilometers and offers 25% lower fuel use than the planes it typically replaces.
