Summary · why it matters

Pocket FM, the Indian audio storytelling platform, has doubled its annualized revenue run rate to $500 million over the past year, up from about $250 million a year earlier and $430 million in April, as artificial intelligence now powers 93% of its overall catalog and 99% of its new content, co-founder and CEO Rohan Nayak said. Nayak said AI has made content production about 80 times cheaper, allowing 100 hours of content that once took about a year to produce to be made in a day, and its more than 550,000 creators now produce about 2.5 million hours of AI-powered content a year, against a total catalog of roughly 100,000 hours two years ago. The platform has built a library of more than 770,000 audio series and now has more than 250 million listeners across over 20 countries, with the U.S. its largest market at about 70% of the annualized revenue run rate; about $85 million of that run rate comes from ads and roughly $415 million from users paying to unlock individual episodes. The company said 96 titles have each generated more than $1 million in revenue, including 13 that have crossed $10 million, and that its 12-month revenue retention rate has risen to 76% from 44% two years ago. Parent company Pocket Entertainment is pushing its AI-driven model beyond audio: its three-month-old microdrama app Pocket Saga, available only in the U.S. with entirely AI-produced content, has reached an annualized revenue run rate of about $15 million, and the company plans to enter at least two more entertainment formats over the next five years while licensing stories into books, television and movies. Bengaluru- and Culver City-based Pocket Entertainment is in talks with investors about raising fresh capital, following a report that it is seeking $100 million to $120 million at a valuation of about $2 billion; Nayak did not deny the talks but said there is no immediate pressure to raise, and the company said it is profitable and generating positive cash flow on an adjusted basis without disclosing figures. Nayak also said Pocket Entertainment does not plan to go public in the next 24 months, keeping options open for an eventual listing in India or the U.S.

Morgan Stanley Lifts Accenture Price Target to $175 as Wall Street Splits on AI Growth

Morgan Stanley raised its price target on Accenture to $175 from $130 on September 14, sending the shares up more than 6% in afternoon trading even as the firm reiterated its Equal weight rating. Meta Acquires AI Startup Stilla.ai to Bolster Business Agent

Meta Platforms acquired AI startup Stilla.ai on September 9, a move aimed at strengthening its agentic AI capabilities and opening new monetization beyond advertising. The company plans to integrate Stilla.ai's team and technology into Meta Business Agent, which helps businesses interact with customers across its platforms. Longer term, Meta envisions customers using AI agents to inquire about products, discuss pricing, and potentially complete purchases without leaving its ecosystem, creating an AI-driven commerce layer across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp. Meta cautioned that Stilla.ai remains a small startup and the deal is unlikely to materially affect revenue or earnings per share in the near term, with infrastructure, product development, and integration needed before meaningful transaction-related revenue emerges. According to the Insider Monkey Database, 254 hedge funds held positions in Meta during the second quarter, down from 262 at the end of the first quarter, while short interest stood at approximately 1.13% of outstanding shares, or roughly 28.81 million shares, as of August 31.

OpenText Partners With Cohere on Trusted AI for Governments

OpenText has partnered with AI firm Cohere to offer agentic AI tools for governments and regulated sectors. The collaboration focuses on trusted deployment of AI agents that work with sensitive enterprise data in tightly controlled environments. Both companies plan to provide customers with flexible implementation options, including private and hybrid setups to meet security requirements. Open Text, a California-based software provider with a market value of about $5.6b, focuses on data management tools that help large organisations handle and govern information across regions where compliance rules for AI and data use are especially tight. The partnership sharpens the AI execution pillar of the Open Text story by connecting the firm's data and compliance layers to a deployable agent platform built for governments and banks, though it also adds integration complexity on top of ongoing restructuring and legacy-to-cloud transitions.
