PPG Industries IncPPG launches a new digital tool (PPG AEROVIEW) for aircraft paint customization, enhancing customer experience and reducing errors.

PPG has introduced the PPG AEROVIEW virtual aircraft painter, a web-based digital tool that lets business and general aviation customers explore and customize aircraft paint colors in real time. The platform allows users to select from various aircraft models and digitally apply colors from PPG's aerospace color library, reducing reliance on physical color brochures and enabling 3D rendering. It is currently available only for U.S. aerospace coatings products. Lirong Bao, PPG global platform director for Aerospace Coatings, said the tool helps reduce design uncertainty, minimize costly repaint errors, and accelerate project approvals. Key features include the ability to save, share, and archive designs, integration with the PPG LIVERYLAB studio for livery design projects, and an intuitive interface supporting hundreds of color and finish combinations.
