Prima Ham's first-quarter results for the fiscal year ending March 2027, announced on August 3, showed revenue of 122.416 billion yen, up 5.7% year on year, operating profit of 2.478 billion yen, down 2.0%, ordinary profit of 2.691 billion yen, down 2.2%, and quarterly net profit of 1.731 billion yen, down 3.3%, marking higher revenue but lower operating profit. Revenue grew on higher volumes of ham and sausages, processed foods, and meat, but profit declined. By segment, the processed foods division was the profit engine, with revenue of 79.576 billion yen, up 3.7%, and operating profit of 2.26 billion yen, up 3.1%, far outpacing the meat division's revenue of 42.486 billion yen, up 9.6%, and operating profit of 358 million yen, down 13.3%; the processed foods division accounted for 84.5% of the 2.674 billion yen in combined operating profit from the three businesses. The full-year consolidated forecast stands at revenue of 500 billion yen, up 5.1% from the previous fiscal year, operating profit of 11 billion yen, up 20.5%, ordinary profit of 12 billion yen, up 7.3%, and net profit of 7.5 billion yen, up 63.5%, unchanged from the previous forecast announced on May 8, with progress at the end of the first quarter at 24.5% of revenue, 22.5% of operating profit, 22.4% of ordinary profit, and 23.1% of net profit. The company will also give shareholders of record holding at least 200 shares as of September 30 company products worth 3,000 yen as a shareholder benefit, and its dividend forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 is an interim dividend of 40 yen and a year-end dividend of 40 yen, for a total of 80 yen.
