Qatari authorities have confirmed that mediation efforts between the United States and Iran are continuing, with both sides still exchanging messages on a potential agreement. Majed Al-Ansari, advisor to the Qatari prime minister and foreign ministry spokesman, said the negotiations have reached a stage of significant progress, and the mediating countries — Qatar, Pakistan, and Oman — are coordinating closely to facilitate indirect contacts. He added that Qatar’s top priority is to avoid escalation of the conflict, reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and open the door to diplomatic negotiations. No direct talks have been scheduled yet, but Qatar expressed hope that the mediation efforts will lead to a resumption of negotiations soon.
