Advanced Micro Devices temporarily topped $1 trillion in market value as Meta's new Muse AI agent ignited a new narrative around what may become yet another big source of chip demand: CPUs. AMD shares rose 2.4% Thursday and around 1% in after-hours trade, while Intel rallied 3.9% Thursday and gained around 1% overnight, leaving Intel up 17.3% this week and Arm up 12.4%. The next catalyst is data out of cloud providers and AI developers on whether agentic workloads translate into considerably increased server CPU deployments.

Meta's AI Wearables Push Targets Trillions, JPMorgan Says
JPMorgan analyst Doug Anmuth sees Meta Platforms' eclectic new AI hardware lineup as part of a much larger AI platform that could address a market worth tens of trillions of dollars. Meta plans to offer more than 100 glasses across Ray-Ban, Oakley and Meta by year-end, targeting the more than 2 billion people who already wear glasses, and has shifted Reality Labs toward wearables designed around Muse and personal superintelligence. The lineup spans a hearing-enhancement feature in the U.S., the Muse Charm keychain device Zuckerberg called a "joyful little device" that is expected to ship in December, and Meta VR Glasses, described as a "private cinema" at roughly 100 grams and expected in spring 2027 for $1,299. Anmuth says Muse is already reaching millions of people and could eventually become a personal agent for billions, with JPMorgan expecting Meta to eventually monetize transactions between users, businesses and AI agents through fees or commissions. Direct Muse monetization remains limited today, and the bigger test for investors is whether Meta can turn the collection of products into a single AI ecosystem capable of expanding the company beyond advertising.

Meta Shares Jump 4.3% as Connect Event Unveils AI Glasses and Muse Expansion
Meta Platforms shares jumped 4.3% in the afternoon session after the company's Meta Connect event showcased new hardware and deeper Muse AI distribution beyond the phone. According to Meta's Connect 2026 recap, the company is bringing Muse to its AI glasses so users can interact with the agent hands-free throughout the day, and it showed Muse updates including new features, connectors, and a state-of-the-art model. Meta also unveiled its widest AI-glasses lineup yet across Ray-Ban, Oakley, and Meta Glasses, including first-ever Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses, and said more than 100 AI-glasses styles are planned by year-end. Separately, CNBC reported that CEO Mark Zuckerberg debuted $1,299 Meta VR Glasses for spring 2027 and a Muse Charm pendant planned for holiday shipping, extending Meta's AI-agent push into wearables. The shares were trading at $778.88, up 4.6% from the previous close, and Meta is up 19.8% since the beginning of the year, setting a new 52-week high.
