Qualcomm announced at its Investor Day that it aims to generate more than $15 billion in AI data-center revenue by fiscal 2029, positioning the segment as its next major growth engine. The company nearly doubled its non-handset revenue target to $40 billion by 2029, with data centers as the largest new piece. Qualcomm revealed the Dragonfly C1000 CPU for AI workloads and named Meta as a multigeneration data-center CPU customer, with production planned for the second half of 2028. Microsoft also endorsed Qualcomm's high-bandwidth compute technology for next-generation AI infrastructure. The company expects two global hyperscaler customers to drive at least $1 billion in revenue within the year and confirmed a planned $3.9 billion acquisition of AI software start-up Modular.
