Quanta Services Incraised 2026 guidance and plans $800M capex to support growth

Quanta Services reported first-quarter 2026 revenues of $7.87 billion, a 26.3% year-over-year increase, with adjusted earnings per share rising to $2.68 from $1.78. The company raised its full-year 2026 guidance, now expecting revenues between $34.7 billion and $35.2 billion and adjusted earnings per share of $13.55 to $14.25. To support this growth, Quanta plans approximately $800 million in net capital expenditures during 2026, primarily to expand transformer manufacturing, enhance off-site fabrication, increase logistics capacity, and strengthen supply chain operations. Management believes these investments are timely as utilities accelerate grid modernization and large-load customers such as data center developers require faster power infrastructure deployment. The company also reported a record backlog of roughly $48.5 billion and expects to generate between $1.55 billion and $2.05 billion in free cash flow in 2026.
