ITAB Shop Concept AB Series BITAB awarded a Nkr320m framework agreement to supply store interiors, loss prevention, trolleys and baskets across REMA 1000's 650 Norwegian stores.

REMA 1000 has awarded ITAB Group a new framework agreement covering store interiors and loss prevention solutions for its Norwegian network, extending the grocer's wider push to modernise in-store operations. Effective from 1 September 2026, the 42-month agreement is valued at Nkr320m ($34.3m) and includes products, services and installation work, with no minimum volume commitments. ITAB will also supply shopping trolleys and baskets as part of the rollout, which is set to reach all of REMA 1000's 650 existing stores in Norway. ITAB said the solutions were developed jointly with the retailer and will support REMA 1000's refurbishment programme by improving operational efficiency, tightening loss prevention and enhancing customer experience. The deal builds on REMA 1000's broader store transformation agenda, including a July 2025 partnership with GK Software for the Cloud4retail platform and an April 2024 collaboration with Market Pay for in-store payments.
