Renault Group has acquired full ownership of Flexis after receiving all required regulatory approvals, buying out the 45% stake held by Volvo Group and the 10% stake held by CMA CGM Group to make Flexis a wholly owned subsidiary. Production of the Renault Trafic Van E-Tech electric, the first fully electric van built on a Software Defined Vehicle platform, remains on track to begin at the end of 2026 at the Sandouville plant in France. Volvo Group, through Renault Trucks, will market the vehicle from 2027 onward as part of the longstanding light commercial vehicle partnership between the two companies.
