Ringcentral IncFed dot plot signals end to easing cycle, raising rates and pressuring software valuations.
RingCentral and CLEAR Secure shares declined in afternoon trading after the Federal Reserve held its benchmark rate at 3.5% to 3.75% and released a dot plot that raised the median year-end rate estimate from 3.4% to 3.8%, removing expectations for a 2026 cut and introducing the possibility of a hike. The 2-year Treasury yield rose 11 basis points to 4.161%, pressuring software valuations that are priced on future cash flows. RingCentral fell 5.1% and CLEAR Secure dropped 3.4% as the sector also faced headwinds from an American Apache helicopter going down near the coast of Oman and President Trump saying the US must respond to what he described as an Iranian attack over the Strait of Hormuz.
