Roper Technologies shares rose about 6% on Thursday after the software-focused industrial company beat second-quarter earnings and revenue estimates and raised its full-year profit forecast, helped by strong recurring software demand. Roper reported adjusted earnings of $5.38 per share for the quarter ended June 30, topping analysts' estimates by 9 cents, while revenue rose 8.8% to $2.11 billion, exceeding expectations by about $10 million. The company raised its 2026 adjusted earnings forecast to $22.15 to $22.30 per share from its prior outlook of $21.80 to $22.05, above the consensus estimate of $21.90. Roper also lifted its full-year total revenue growth outlook to more than 8% from about 8% and increased its organic revenue growth forecast to about 6% from a prior range of 5% to 6%. For the third quarter, Roper forecast adjusted earnings of $5.75 to $5.80 per share, above analysts' expectations of $5.66. CEO Neil Hunn said the company delivered 9% total revenue growth, 5% organic revenue growth, and 11% free cash flow growth in the quarter, and added that Roper repurchased 3.6 million shares for $1.2 billion during the period while continuing to expand its artificial intelligence offerings with new products across its portfolio.
