Royal Gazette announces 2.40 baht cut in ex-refinery diesel price, effective 16 September to 31 October 2026

The Royal Gazette has published a notice from the Energy Policy Administration Committee, or EPAC, on the reduction of the ex-refinery price for high-speed diesel by 2.40 baht per litre, effective from 16 September to 31 October 2026. The notice was signed by Wattanapong Kurovat, Director-General of the Energy Policy and Planning Office, and dated 9 September 2026. EPAC resolved at its 11/2026 meeting on 3 September 2026 to approve the reduction, because the conflict situation in the Middle East between the United States, Israel and Iran shows no sign of easing soon, directly affecting crude oil and refined oil supply in the global market and keeping domestic fuel prices highly volatile. The reduction covers all three types of high-speed diesel, namely B0, B7 and B20, with each type cut by the same 2.40 baht per litre at the refinery. The measure is issued under the authority of Section 3 (1) of the Emergency Decree on the Prevention and Remedy of Fuel Shortages, B.E. 2516, and Clause 3 (1) of Prime Minister's Order No. 15/2562 on measures to prevent and remedy fuel shortages, dated 4 October 2019.
