Royal Gazette announces 4-baht-per-litre cut in ex-refinery diesel price, effective today through 31 Oct 2026

The Royal Gazette has published a notice from the Energy Policy Administration Committee, or EPAC, on the reduction of ex-refinery prices for high-speed diesel, cutting the ex-refinery diesel price by 4 baht per litre from today, 16 September 2026, through 31 October 2026. The cut covers high-speed diesel grades B0, B7 and B20, all reduced by the same 4 baht per litre. The notice was signed by Wattanapong Kurovat, Director-General of the Energy Policy and Planning Office, on 15 September 2026, and revokes the EPAC notice dated 9 September 2026 that set a 2.40-baht-per-litre cut in the ex-refinery diesel price. The new reduction raises the rate by a further 1.60 baht per litre from the previous level. EPAC said the reason is the conflict in the Middle East between the United States, Israel and Iran, which shows no sign of easing and has directly affected the supply of crude oil and refined products on the world market, keeping domestic fuel prices highly volatile. The resolution resulted from the 12th EPAC meeting of 2026 on 14 September 2026 and relies on the authority of Section 3 (1) of the Emergency Decree on the Amendment and Prevention of Fuel Shortages, B.E. 2516, as well as Clause 3 (1) of Prime Minister's Order No. 15/2562 dated 4 October 2019.
