Samsung Electronics Co LtdMemory shortage boosts Samsung's pricing power, and shareholder return plan announced.
Samsung Electronics gained about 1.7% in Seoul on Thursday as Nvidia's influence lifted Asian semiconductor stocks, with tight memory-component supplies potentially boosting Samsung's pricing power. The company's 2026 shareholder-return plan targets 90 trillion to 110 trillion won, with a midpoint of 100 trillion won—nearly five times the previous record of 20.3 trillion won. Of that, 30 trillion won is earmarked for dividends and 15 trillion won for an employee-compensation share repurchase. The remaining 45 trillion to 65 trillion won could be allocated to ordinary buybacks and permanent share cancellation, pending a board decision in January. Samsung's GF Score stands at 84 out of 100, with strong profitability, growth, and financial strength, though momentum and valuation remain softer.
