Samsung Electronics climbed 2.43% to 274,500 Korean won in Friday's session as investors leaned back into its semiconductor business. The company's second quarter delivered revenue of 171.5 trillion won, up 28% sequentially, while operating profit reached 89.5 trillion won. The Device Solutions division generated 127.5 trillion won of revenue and 89.2 trillion won of operating profit, roughly 99.7% of consolidated operating profit. AI demand drove record quarterly revenue and earnings in the memory operation, with HBM4 sales expanding and first HBM4E samples shipped to major customers. Management expects demand for server DRAM, enterprise SSDs and HBM to accelerate through the second half, though mobile and networks swung to a 0.7 trillion won operating loss.
