Sandisk CorpSandisk announced sampling of its next-gen BiCS10 3D NAND with significant bit density, speed, and power efficiency gains for AI workloads.

Sandisk announced it is sampling its BiCS10 1Tb TLC, its tenth-generation 3D NAND flash memory technology. The new chip achieves a bit density greater than 29 gigabits per square millimeter, a 59 percent improvement over the previous BiCS8 generation, and delivers up to 4.8 gigabits per second NAND interface speed, a 33 percent increase. BiCS10 also enhances power efficiency, reducing data input power consumption by 10 percent and output power consumption by 34 percent compared to BiCS8. The technology increases the number of memory layers to 332 and incorporates Toggle DDR6.0, SCA protocol, and PI-LTT technology to support high-speed, low-power operation. Sandisk says the advancements are designed to support next-generation data-intensive and AI-driven workloads.
