Monolithic Power Signs Long-Term GlobalFoundries Deal for Singapore 300mm Production
Monolithic Power Systems has entered a new long-term agreement with GlobalFoundries to expand production capacity for its advanced power management technologies. Under the deal, Monolithic Power will deploy its proprietary process technology at GlobalFoundries' advanced 300mm manufacturing facility in Singapore, with volume production expected to begin in early 2027. The added capacity is intended to serve rising demand across artificial intelligence, automotive, industrial and data center markets, including automotive platforms, industrial robotics and automation, and smart power stages for AI and cloud infrastructure. Monolithic Power faces competition from Analog Devices and Microchip Technology, both of which are also expanding manufacturing capacity. Panasonic Energy Develops Prismatic All-Solid-State Battery, Supports Up to 150 Degrees
Panasonic Energy announced that it has developed a prismatic all-solid-state battery that can be used in high-temperature environments up to 150 degrees Celsius. Chief Technology Officer Shoichiro Watanabe revealed this at the International Rechargeable Battery Expo held in Chiba City on the 9th. Previously, only coin-shaped batteries were available, with a maximum temperature of 125 degrees, but the addition of the prismatic type raises the supported temperature. Sample shipments will begin in the October-December quarter of fiscal 2026, with mass production targeted one to two years later. The company also indicated it will accelerate development of cylindrical batteries for humanoid robots.

Leadshine Technology's Half-Year Report Shows Strong Growth, Second Growth Curve Begins to Deliver
Leadshine Technology disclosed its 2026 half-year report on August 27. First-half revenue was 1.247 billion yuan, up 39.92 percent year on year, and net profit attributable to the parent company was 194 million yuan, up 62.79 percent. Second-quarter net profit surged 92.49 percent year on year, continuing a quarter-by-quarter acceleration trend. Servo system revenue reached 661 million yuan, up 54.82 percent, becoming the primary growth engine. Orders in hand for frameless torque motors exceeded one million units, and robot components such as dexterous hands have begun volume shipments. Although the company's earnings growth ranks among the top humanoid robot concept stocks, its price-to-earnings ratio is about 58 times, lower than peers such as Zhaowei Machinery and Moons' Electric, and the market remains divided on its valuation. Net operating cash flow fell 14.01 percent year on year, and accounts receivable accounted for 25.75 percent of total assets, so the quality of growth still needs to be watched.
