Sansiri, through Sansiri Capital, has signed a purchase agreement to acquire 100% ownership of The Lake Como EDITION, an ultra-luxury 5-star hotel on Lake Como, Italy, with total asset value of over 200 million euros, or over 8 billion baht, from Bain Capital and Omnam Group. The deal is expected to close by the end of September 2026, with revenue recognition starting immediately. This acquisition is part of Sansiri's New S-Curve strategy to expand its Global Luxury Hospitality portfolio and diversify risk. The hotel has an occupancy rate of over 70% and an average room rate of over 1,500 euros per night during the recent high season. Naphat Taweesin, Chief International Operations Officer, said this investment builds on the success of SoHo New York and the sale of Standard International to Hyatt Hotels for 355 million US dollars. The Lake Como EDITION opened in March and is managed by Marriott International, featuring 148 rooms and suites, along with iconic amenities such as a floating pool and beach club, and has received LEED Gold certification.
