Adjusted EBITDA up 7.6%, dividend increased, buyback expanded, and asset sales completed.
Saputo reported first-quarter fiscal 2027 adjusted EBITDA of $427 million, up 7.6% from $397 million a year earlier, driven by strong sales volumes and momentum in high-protein dairy ingredients. Revenues rose 1.5% to $4.421 billion, while adjusted EBITDA margin expanded to 9.7% from 9.1%. Net earnings from continuing operations climbed to $183 million, or $0.46 per share basic, compared with $157 million, or $0.38 per share, a year ago. The company also announced a 5% quarterly dividend increase to $0.21 per share and plans to expand its share buyback program to approximately 24 million shares. Saputo completed the sale of an 80% interest in its Dairy Division (Argentina) for proceeds of about $710 million and agreed to sell its stake in the Danone Saputo Dairy Australia joint venture for approximately $253 million.
