SCBX reported second-quarter 2026 net profit of 11.117 billion baht, down 13.1 percent from the same period last year, though up 9.0 percent from the previous quarter. Total revenue was 41.223 billion baht, down 5.3 percent year-on-year but up 4.9 percent quarter-on-quarter. Net interest income stood at 27.306 billion baht, down 10.2 percent from a year earlier, pressured by a narrower net interest margin following policy rate cuts. Fee and other income grew 14.8 percent year-on-year to 11.365 billion baht, supported by the wealth management business and service expansion through InnovestX. On asset quality, the non-performing loan ratio improved to 3.17 percent from 3.23 percent in the prior quarter, with a coverage ratio of 158.6 percent and a regulatory capital adequacy ratio of 18.6 percent. For the first half of 2026, net profit was 21.312 billion baht, down 15.7 percent from a year earlier. Chief Executive Officer Arthit Nanthawittaya said the wealth management business remains a key engine amid an uneven economic recovery, and the company is pressing ahead with BankX, a branchless bank, deploying AI to enhance service and sustain profitability.
