Seagate Technology forecast first-quarter revenue and profit above Wall Street estimates, driven by strong demand for its high-capacity hard disk drives amid the rapid buildout of AI infrastructure. The Singapore-based company expects revenue of $4.1 billion, plus or minus $100 million, surpassing analysts' average estimate of $3.75 billion, and adjusted profit of $7.30 per share, plus or minus 20 cents, compared with estimates of $5.80 per share. Shares rose over 8% in extended trading, adding to gains that have more than doubled this year. CEO Dave Mosley said durable long-term demand for mass capacity storage is expected as AI accelerates data generation. Fourth-quarter revenue rose 48.5% to $3.63 billion, beating estimates of $3.49 billion, while adjusted profit came in at $5.71 per share, above the $5.09 estimate.
