Shake Shack IncRevenue and Same-Shack sales growth beat expectations, though net income declined due to beef inflation.

Shake Shack reported second quarter 2026 total revenue of $417.6 million, up 17.2% year over year, driven by new restaurant openings and 3.5% Same-Shack sales growth. Same-Shack sales increased 3.5%, marking the 22nd consecutive quarter of positive growth, with traffic up 2.0% for the fourth consecutive quarter. Restaurant-level profit was $92.7 million, or 23.0% of Shack sales, down 90 basis points from the prior year, while net income attributable to Shake Shack Inc. was $15.7 million, or $0.37 per diluted share, compared to $17.1 million a year earlier. Adjusted EBITDA rose 3.9% to $61.2 million, and the company opened 16 new company-operated Shacks in the quarter, bringing year-to-date openings to 33. Management reiterated full-year guidance of 60 to 65 new company-operated Shacks and 40 to 45 new licensed Shacks, and said it expects adjusted EBITDA and net income to be at the low end of its ranges due to continued beef inflation and tougher comparisons in the second half.
