Shenzhen Water Planning & Design Institute announced its 2026 interim report on August 25. Driven by national water network construction and urban renewal policies, the company returned to profitability. Revenue for the reporting period was 368 million yuan, up 12.47 percent year on year. Net profit attributable to the parent company was 5.61 million yuan, compared with a loss of 6.17 million yuan in the same period last year. Net profit after deducting non-recurring items was 6.05 million yuan, also turning positive. However, net operating cash flow was an outflow of 186 million yuan, widening by 20.52 percent from a year earlier. Contract assets reached 993 million yuan, rising to 51.64 percent of total assets, indicating significant collection pressure. As a leading water affairs design firm in Shenzhen, the company expects total water conservancy investment of about 7 trillion yuan during the 15th Five-Year Plan period and is likely to continue benefiting, but it needs to guard against collection risks caused by local fiscal pressure.
