Company raised its net profit and revenue forecasts for FY2026.
Shimano on the 28th revised upward its consolidated net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending December 2026, from the previous 42 billion yen to 43 billion yen. The revenue forecast was also raised from 467 billion yen to 491 billion yen, reflecting progress in market inventory adjustments and foreign exchange impacts. Meanwhile, the operating profit forecast was left unchanged at 47 billion yen, with the company estimating that increased cost of sales due to the Middle East situation will amount to approximately 4 billion yen for the full year, with a negative impact on gross profit of about 2 billion yen. Cumulative net profit for the second quarter was 27.95 billion yen, a sevenfold increase year-on-year, with operating profit from fishing tackle growing 59.8 percent, while bicycle components declined 15.1 percent due to the impact of North American tariffs.
