Signify N.V.Sets 2029 targets of 0-1% sales growth and 10% EBITA margin, with updated capital allocation policy; mixed signals on growth and profitability.

Signify introduced an updated strategy and medium-term financial objectives at its Capital Markets Day 2026, targeting comparable sales growth of 0 to 1 percent, an adjusted EBITA margin of circa 10 percent, and free cash flow generation of 7 to 8 percent of sales by 2029. The company will apply a Build or Harvest mandate across six portfolio choices, investing in connected lighting, Consumer, selected Professional segments, and a more focused geographic presence, while optimizing non-connected LED lamps, Conventional, and more commoditized activities for performance and revenue. Three differentiated playbooks will be applied: maximizing operating leverage in growth areas, turning around EBITA-dilutive performance areas, and maintaining high profitability in low-growth and declining businesses. Signify also updated its capital allocation policy, setting a dividend pay-out ratio of 40 to 50 percent of continuing net income and prioritizing a robust capital structure, organic and inorganic growth investments, and additional capital returns to shareholders with residual cash, while not intending to resume the share repurchase program announced in 2025. The revised framework provides greater flexibility to invest in growth opportunities while maintaining an investment grade credit rating.
