SK Hynix IncMemory shortage and soaring AI chip demand drive profit and stock price target.

SK Hynix shares could surge to $1,000 by the end of 2027, driven by a worsening memory shortage and soaring demand for artificial intelligence chips. The South Korean memory giant, which controls 29% of the DRAM market and 18% of the NAND flash market, saw profit jump fivefold year over year in the first quarter of 2026. TrendForce projects combined DRAM and NAND flash revenue will reach $1.28 trillion in 2027, up from $843 billion in 2026, and SK Hynix expects the supply crunch to intensify. Consensus estimates call for earnings per share of $40.47 in 2027, and at a 25 times forward earnings multiple the stock would top $1,000, representing a potential sixfold gain from current levels.
