Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, has expanded its SkinMedica portfolio with the launch of Barrier Calming Cream, a restorative moisturizer designed to soothe skin and fortify the skin barrier, alongside the new HA5 Hydra Collagen Facial Mist with Vegan Collagen. In clinical testing, the cream improved skin barrier support and reduced skin dryness by 30% after just two weeks, while the mist immediately increased skin hydration by 31% with one application and improved dryness by 62%. The products are priced at $140 and $58 respectively and are available at SkinMedica.com and through licensed physicians and medically supervised spas. Nicole Mowad-Nassar, president of Global Allergan Aesthetics, highlighted the brand's pioneering role in regenerative skincare, and Prithwiraj Maitra, vice president of global skincare R&D, noted the cream's clinically proven ability to restore the barrier and support retinol tolerance.
