SoundHound AI IncQ2 revenue and EPS beat, raised guidance, and expanded gross margin.

SoundHound AI shares jumped 16.8% in August after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter 2026 financial results. Revenue came in at $61.9 million, surpassing the $52.4 million analysts had anticipated and marking a 45% year-over-year increase. The company also posted a narrower adjusted loss of $0.02 per share, beating the expected $0.05 loss, while its gross profit margin expanded to 45.1% from 39% a year earlier. Interim CFO and co-founder James Hom highlighted the success of the newly launched OASYS AI system, and the company raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to a range of $230 million to $260 million, which at the midpoint would represent 45% growth. Despite the positive results, some analysts cut their price targets, and shares have given back some gains in September, trading at 13.9 times sales, below their five-year average price-to-sales multiple of 17.2.
