Southern Energy CorpSpudding first Cotton Valley test well advances drilling program

Southern Energy Corp. has spudded the Terrible Creek 21-2 #2 Cotton Valley test well in the Williamsburg Field, the first of two farm-out commitment wells planned for this year. The company will pay roughly 50% of the gross drill and completion costs of US$3.9 million per well, corresponding to a 50% working interest. The well is expected to be drilled to a planned total depth of approximately 19,000 feet, with completion and testing operations to commence after the drilling rig is moved off site. Separately, Southern has engaged ICP Securities Inc. to provide automated market making services for a monthly fee of C$7,500, effective August 10, 2026, for an initial four-month term.
