Alphabet Inc Class CSpaceX signed a deal to rent computing power from Alphabet's Colossus data center for $920 million per month
SpaceX reported second-quarter revenue of $7.8 billion, up 92% year over year, as its artificial intelligence business now accounts for 33% of total revenue. The AI segment is built around assets of xAI, acquired earlier this year, and the company has signed a deal with Alphabet to rent computing power from its Colossus data center for $920 million per month, plus a similar AI hosting agreement worth $1.11 billion per month with an unnamed customer. The second-quarter operating loss narrowed from $1.94 billion to $143 million. The stock, which priced at $150 in its initial public offering, has traded between just under $105 and more than $225, and carries a price-to-sales ratio of 70 against an S&P 500 average of 3.8. A Bank of America survey found that 45% of fund managers see a potential AI bubble as the biggest risk facing the market right now.
