Space Exploration Technologies Corp. Class A Common StockLockup expirations increase tradable float, pressuring stock price amid valuation concerns.

SpaceX's tradable float could roughly triple by December as the company allows insiders and early investors to sell shares in multiple waves instead of a single 180-day lockup period. The first wave unlocked 20% of shares on August 6, with additional 7% unlocks scheduled for August 20, September 9, September 24, October 9, and October 24. A further 28% of shares will unlock on the second trading day after its third-quarter earnings report, and all remaining shares become free to sell on December 8. The stock, which went public at $135 per share on June 12 and hit a record $225.64 on June 16, now trades around $110 amid concerns over its valuation at 76 times 2025 sales and losses in its AI division.
