Super Micro Computer IncNamed as global system builder for NVIDIA's Vera Rubin NVL4 racks, positioning at center of AI infrastructure buildouts
Super Micro shares surged 15.2% after NVIDIA named the company alongside Dell as a global system builder for its new Vera Rubin NVL4 racks at the ISC High Performance 2026 conference. The custom racks scale to 1,152 NVIDIA Rubin GPUs and 576 NVIDIA Vera CPUs in liquid-cooled configurations, positioning Super Micro at the center of AI infrastructure buildouts. GF Securities upgraded the stock from Hold to Buy with a $48 price target, providing a second catalyst. The gains helped the stock break above a $27.50–$33.00 conversion corridor tied to its mandatory convertible preferred terms, which had weighed on shares after a $7 billion financing package announced earlier in June triggered dilution concerns. That capital raise, combining equity and convertible preferred securities, is intended to fund component purchases for approximately $39 billion of AI server orders from more than 20 customers.
