Mr. Suphachai Chearavanont has proposed a public-private partnership model, or PPP, to invest in establishing five major national Innovation Centers within five years, with a budget of approximately 100 billion baht, or about 3 billion US dollars. The centers will cover quantum technology, AI, robotics and automation, biotechnology, and advanced materials. He noted that the CP Group has already made an initial investment of 2.5 billion baht and proposed that the government provide support through tax measures and a Matching Fund to attract investment and build the country's advanced technology ecosystem. Additionally, the Quantum Club Thailand was launched as a national quantum technology collaboration platform, resulting from cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Charoen Pokphand Group, AIS, True Corporation, QTRic, and qBraid from the United States, aiming to develop human resources, drive research, and accelerate the application of quantum technology in the industrial sector.
