The Supreme Administrative Court has ruled to dismiss the case brought against Digital Phone Company Limited, or DPC, a subsidiary of Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited, or ADVANC, in case number 1651/2558, meaning DPC will not have to pay 1.223 billion baht to National Telecom Public Company Limited, or NT. The case is now final under the Supreme Administrative Court's ruling. This was one of three cases NT filed against the NBTC and DPC with the Central Administrative Court in 2015, seeking payment for telecommunications equipment and network usage during the temporary protection period under an NBTC announcement after the expiry of the 1800MHz spectrum concession, covering the period from 16 September 2014 to 25 November 2015. The claims against DPC totalled 3.202 billion baht plus interest of 7.5 percent per year. In 2022, the Central Administrative Court dismissed all three cases against DPC, prompting NT to appeal to the Supreme Administrative Court. The two remaining cases, case numbers 918/2558 and 741/2559, with combined claims of 1.979 billion baht, are currently still under consideration by the Supreme Administrative Court.
