TELA Bio has appointed Heather Getz as its new Chief Executive Officer and a director, effective immediately. Getz most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial and Operations Officer at Butterfly Network, and previously held the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at BioTelemetry, where market capitalization grew from $50 million to $2.8 billion before its acquisition by Philips Healthcare in 2021. She succeeds co-founder Antony Koblish, who the board thanked for his vision and leadership in building the company's soft-tissue reconstruction portfolio. Getz stated she aims to accelerate commercial execution and expand the company's impact for patients and surgeons.
