Teradata CorpAnnounced integration with Microsoft OneLake, enabling direct AI workloads without data duplication.
Teradata has announced an integration between its Autonomous Knowledge Platform and Microsoft OneLake, allowing customers to run enterprise AI workloads directly on OneLake data without ETL pipelines or data duplication. Built on Apache Iceberg standards, the integration enables Teradata users to query OneLake tables in place with native authentication and access controls via Microsoft Entra ID. This eliminates the need for data movement, reducing latency, governance gaps, and storage costs. The integration supports read access to OneLake tables and is now available, with a demonstration planned at the European Microsoft Fabric + SQL Community Conference in Barcelona from September 28 to October 1, 2026. Teradata's Chief Product Officer Sumeet Arora and Microsoft's Dipti Borkar highlighted the benefits of running AI where data already resides and the openness of Microsoft Fabric.
