Terra Innovatum Global N.V. has launched an initiative to boost the net electrical output of its SOLO Micro Modular Reactor by roughly 25 percent, from about 1 megawatt-electric to as much as 1.25 megawatt-electric per unit. The company is advancing an optimized power conversion architecture that integrates supercritical CO2 turbomachinery solutions from Baker Hughes under a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding. Early engineering assessments indicate the higher per-reactor output could allow customers to reach a 5-megawatt-electric target with four reactors instead of five, reducing system complexity. Terra Innovatum is also evaluating steam cycle and hybrid alternatives for small-, medium-, and large-scale installations, while remaining the sole architect and integrator of the overall SOLO platform. The initiative is intended to accelerate configuration decisions and support near-term commercial deployment of the compact, scalable clean-energy system.
