Tesla Inc. is expected to deliver about 75 of its 500 Semi trucks ordered by freight-technology company Einride AB by the end of 2026, with the remainder to follow by the end of 2027, according to Einride CEO Roozbeh Charli. In an interview with Freight Waves, Charli said the initial order is for 500 trucks, with approximately 75 to be deployed this side of the year and the rest by the end of next year, adding that the strategy is U.S.-focused. Einride, a Swedish company based in Stockholm, operates a fleet of autonomous electric trucks and plans to use the Semis on its Saga AI platform for customers including Amazon.com Inc. Tesla had earlier secured an order for 370 Semi units from WattEV, which operates on a Truck-as-a-Service model.
