Thales has become the first technology partner to join the Visa Digitalization Ready Program in Asia Pacific, aiming to help financial institutions adopt Visa digital payment services. The collaboration will initially focus on deploying Click to Pay and Payment Passkeys through Thales' D1 card issuing platform, which supports digital issuance and tokenisation. The partnership is intended to simplify integration with Visa digital services and reduce implementation complexity for issuers, combining greater convenience for consumers with stronger security and authentication. Thales Asia, Middle East & Africa, Banking & Payment Services vice-president Nassir Ghrous said the company is uniquely positioned to help financial institutions accelerate their digital transformation.
