Praphon Pornprapha, Deputy Managing Director of Thitikorn Public Company Limited, or TK, said business in the fourth quarter of 2026 should improve from the third quarter of 2026 as the company enters the selling season, or high season, for motorcycles, which form the core customer base for its lending, and this will help drive a clearer expansion in loan disbursements. For the full year 2026, the company estimates its total loan portfolio will rise by about 50% from the previous year, after the portfolio grew by roughly 30% in the first half from the same period a year earlier. It will continue to pursue a strategy of quality growth, focusing on expanding its portfolio in secured lending across four main products: motorcycle hire-purchase loans, title-deed pledge loans, machinery hire-purchase loans, and solar-cell loans. Its financial position remains strong, with cash on hand now rising to nearly 3 billion baht after the company slowed lending over the past one to two years to await clarity on regulations from the Bank of Thailand, and it began lending more actively again in 2026. Praphon added that the central bank's oversight is a good thing for bringing order to and cooling down the lending market, especially in the retail borrower segment and Buy Now Pay Later loans, where monitoring through the National Credit Bureau and the issuance of control criteria will help instill financial discipline in consumers and support the overall economy in the long term.
